Whether you like it or not, Elon changed your Twitter (or now X) feed forever. Instead of just getting content from everyone you follow, you land on “For You”. A page like on TikTok where the algorithm serves you content you might be interested in.

You can swipe to the right for your “Following” feed.

Honestly, I find the “For You” feed almost better than my “Following” feed.

BUT it is really broad.

I like reading it, but I hardly ever engage as it is mostly all the Twitter bigshots coming up with wild (and entertaining) conspiracy theories, memes or threads.

AND Twitter is wayyy more fun and powerful when you engage, not just lurk.

(Yes, I give you permission to like and comment on anything I tweet, no offence taken, it is more fun that way ??)

ALRIGHT - but HOW?

1. ?? Create a Twitter list ? profile pic (top left) ? ListsCreate NEW ? add 10-20 people to it, imo that works best to actually engageFollow someone else’s list ? for example”“Startmate & Blackbird” - list of all SM / BB team members“News” - a list of ANZ journos I curate
2. ?? Pin it ? ?? hit the little pin ? top right on the ?? you can also easily rearrange
3. ?? Upgraded Newsfeed ? now all you need to do is swipe twice to the right and you have a SUPER relevant list of tweets from the 10, maybe 20 people you love tweeting with!
