25 Lessons Learned Before Turning 25

As I turn 25 years old today, I have reflected on the 25 learnings outlined below (in no particular order). Which do you agree or disagree with?

1. Life is short, enjoy the moment
2. If you say yes to everyone and everything, then you will end up saying no to yourself, and your time 
3. Habits define your future, replace bad habits with good ones
4. If you can’t replace bad habits alone then find others to help hold you accountable 
5. Many small wins or victories create big wins or victories
6. Do not regret the past, learning to cope well is a skill that can be learned and can dynamically change your life
7. Learning from others is much faster than failing yourself, but be cautious because this can backfire if you do not experience the failures yourself 
8. Your network can be your net worth if you use it wisely 
9. Surround yourself by people that you want to aspire to be more like
10. Drop negative people, life is too short to deal with them
11. Think “How can I...” instead of “I cannot…” 
12. Money is a tool, learn to use it wisely and educate yourself
13. Compare yourself less to others, but have others challenge you
14. The quiet person in the back of the room may be your future boss
15. Talk less about other people and talk more about ideas
16. Your only boundary for success is yourself
17. People often buy stories regardless of the service or product being sold 
18. Time is the most valuable asset an individual has
19. Simplicity is always better than complexity 
20. Happiness starts with healthiness and yourself, not from other people or other things 
21. If you blink an eye and forget to look around, you’ll miss innovation
22. Defy stagnation, adore change 
23. There are multiple ways to reach the same goal
24. Your first decision may not be the best but trust your subconscious decisions
25. Find mentors early, often, and create a mutually beneficial relationship with them
