Dear Global Friends,
Though this topic is very widely covered in each media world over in last 50 years till date as it is remembered by each Indian, still I feel that I write it again at my News letter once again about why 25 Jun is considered as a "Black Day" in Indian Democracy in Independent India.
It was on 25 Jun 1975 when then Prime Minister of India Smt Indira Gandhi got imposed an Emergency in India and she got the declaration done to this effect by the then The President of India, Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad conveying him that it is the Government of India(Her Council of Ministers recommendation or the majority of the Members of the Parliament though it was not the case) is in favor of Imposition of An Emergency in India. The President of India signed a notification in the night of 24 Jun 1975 at about 2330 hrs and then an emergency was imposed in India w.e.f 25 Jun 1975 and Mrs Gandhi informed his council of ministers about it at 0530 hrs on 25 Jun 1975. All the opposition leaders and any one who were opposing Smt Indira Government were lodged in jails Pan India illegally under MISA (The Maintenance of Internal Security Act)1971.The News papers and many generalists banned and many arrested. The freedom of press & free expression of self were totally controlled and many were sent to jail in violation to the imposition of emergency. It was a dictatorship as no one was allowed to speak against the imposition of emergency and any one who were, put in jail and harassed. Many people died during this period of uncertainty for nearly two years from 25 Jun 1975 to 1977 as common people's liberty was snatched and they were under a fear that they have again entered in a period of Gulami under a Dynast rule. So, the imposition of emergency not only violated the constitution of India but also destroyed the very sprit of it. It was the biggest assault on the constitution of India, a deliberate attempt to degenerate the Democracy of the nation and during emergency the atrocities carried out on the people of India cant be forgotten ever.
It is indeed a blot on Indian Democracy and it was done by carrying out an Amendment in Constitution in passing of an arbitrary & unjust MISA 1971 in the Parliament that was against the sprit of the Constitution of India, so, it was the biggest blow to the Instrument & Fundamentals of a Democracy and showing scant respect to it. It was a biggest insult of Democracy in India and it was done deliberately as Mrs. Indira Gandhi lost in a Court battle against Shri Raj Narayan in the Hon'ble High Court of Uttar Pradesh as the case was pursued by him against her as she illegally used the machinery of the Government of India in her Lok Sabha election fought against him and defeated him with such illegal practices. So, the result of this Lok Sabha seat election was declared Null & Void and Mrs Gandhi was no more an elected representative of The Lower House(Lok Sabha) of Indian Parliament. So, she found imposing an emergency in India is an answer to deal with this political situation and she insulted the Constitution of India. It was solely her decision as she did not inform the Parliamentary Board of Congress and her council of ministers about this decision. She got the signature of then The President of India also on the Proclamation / Imposition of an emergency in India Notification at about 2330 hrs in the night of 24 Jun 1975 also in secrecy as the Parliamentary Board and The Council of Ministers were informed only at 0530 hrs on 25 Jun 1975 about it.

It is pertinent to mention that no one can change the constitution of India and it is only an amendment that could be brought in with 2/3rd majority in both the houses of the Parliament of India. There are nearly 80 amendments that were carried out in Congress Regimes in India during about 60 years of their rule. So, it is Congress that did bleed the Constitution of India and it started in the time of Shri JL Nehru, the Former Prime Minister of India when a way back he introduced an amendment in the constitution of India in 1955 curbing the rights of free press and the free expression of self. Then big jolt was done by Smt Indira Gandhi in declaration of an emergency in 1975. Shri Rajeev Gandhi ji , then Prime Minister of India also insulted the very sprit of the Constitution of India by reversing the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India verdict given in Shah Bano case by amending the Constitution of India in 1985. It was a big blow to the Democracy of India.
So, Congress and Rahul Gandhi has no right and even other opposition parties also as they were in support of Congress in doing this, to cry for the protection of the constitution of India as Congress brought 80 amendments during its regimes of 60 years and many are by either pursuing the politics of appeasement of a particular minority or the above 03 big instances as I have stated above.
Narendra Modi is a protector of the constitution of India and he is the finest example of it as he as a son of Tea Seller and an OBC not only became the Hon'ble CM of Gujarat 04 times and the Hon'ble PM of India 3rd time. This is the power of Indian Democracy as it is of the people, by the people and for the people.
So, Rahul Gandhi and the elected MPs of Congress and the MPs of other opposition parties that stand with Congress has a hollow call for the protection of the constitution of India as showing a copy of it holding in hands in current parliament session in progress. Rather they must respect the Constitution of India in True Sprit.
