BUSINESS

? Become financially stable - Do not spend more than you earn

? Know your financial metrics - live and breathe them

? Have a plan one to five years ahead

? Be clear on our offering. (Benefits, not features) - be special

CLIENTS

? Get the best clients you can find - bad clients are business killers

? Do not entertain energy vampires - they suck the life away from you

? Charge as much as you can - people pay for value, not stuff

? Underpromise and over-deliver - clients like that

PROCESS?

? Be efficient and reliable - build in easy-to-follow processes and systems

? Quality matters - don’t compromise - but don’t be a perfectionist

? Revise your process regularly - is it still fit for purpose

? Can a novice understand your model and process?

TEAM?

? Only employ people you trust - Trust is better than brilliance

? Let them do their jobs - don’t micro-manage

? Build a senior team - let them run the business with your guidance

? Become a Great Mentor - the team will appreciate it

CULTURE

? Build a great culture - if you don’t, you’ll get one anyway

? Have training at the heart of your business - We all want to get better, right?

? Develop people so they can leave, Look after them well so that they don’t (Thanks RB)

? Practise gratitude. Celebrate everyone’s victories and share defeats

? Keep a positive outlook and practise resilience - You'll need it.

? Stay fit and healthy - If you don't you'll burnout

? Have your end-game in mind - Know why you're on the journey
