Does August have somewhere to be? We can’t believe it’s the 23rd already!?
It may sound dramatic, but at this point in the year it’s time to start getting content and strategies in place for the months ahead. Think Halloween and - dare I say the C word!
It simply isn’t possible to predict TikTok trends so far in advance, but isn’t it helpful to have a weekly roundup of the hottest trends delivered straight to your LinkedIn???
Keep reading to see the trends that are worth hopping on this week…
Did someone dig out an old photo of you? Did Facebook show you something you posted in 2009? Did you rewatch your first ever TikTok? Use this sound to share your reaction to something embarrassing or facepalm worthy!?
2. Ariana Grande - ‘I could’ve said…’
This sound has already been used by companies such as Ryanair (AKA brand TikTok royalty). The premise is simple: when Ariana says ‘I could’ve said’, use onscreen text to share what you really wanted to say. This is usually a bold statement - it could be something a little mean, controversial, or even a backhanded compliment! Then, share what you actually said.
This trend has plenty of options - for example, Ryanair used it to imply that other brands all began using a certain filter after they popularised it. ?? https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMNWk8q2V/?
3. Best of Both Worlds
A nice and simple onscreen text trend that makes use of a Hannah Montana classic! Share two facts about yourself that seem to contradict each other or offer two contrasting perspectives. Creators are also using this to share traits they inherited from each parent!
4. Nicki Minaj - ‘one thing about me’

Last week we shared the Halloween costume trend attached to Nicki’s new tune, Super Freaky Girl. However, following its release on streaming, it seems this is one of the few songs to have multiple TikTok trends attached to it!
Creators are using the ‘one thing about me’ verse to list things in time to the music - whether that be facts about themselves or their business.
5. Ice Ice Baby
This is a relatively simple photo-sharing trend which is quick and easy to partake in - on each word, share a different photo. That’s it! The trend has mostly been used to share selfies, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used for product photos, facts, or even the people in your team.
6. Half Love
Throwing this one in for the aesthetic enthusiasts! Creators are mostly using this sound in daily vlogs or in ‘get ready with me’ types of video, but it has the potential to go with anything. How about adding a slideshow of nice product pictures? Or some onscreen text relating to your niche?
7. Me if (x) becomes illegal
What would you be going to jail for if it were to become illegal? This trend uses the police car filter alongside Akon’s Locked Up, with users sharing something which would put them in jail if it were to suddenly be declared illegal. How many of you would be in jail for spending too much time on TikTok???
Happy Tiktokking!
