The Gammon has passed and the liquor has stopped flowing - not completely but one can hope. Festive fun times are behind us and for the majority of the country, work beckons today. With the promise of a rejuvenated spirit for most, the new year presents a fantastic opportunity to start over and put your best foot forward. And it’s seemingly the same for businesses as well.
When I first had the dream of 22Ours, one of the most important elements of the journey was going to be the content that we made because we wanted to see more creativity in the realm of sport. Not the content which we make for our clients - but honestly? For ourselves. For the fans. So the next few months, we have a feast of content that we’ve lined up and are looking forward to creating and sharing with the rest of the world.?
Starting things off strong, we’re going to be resuming the work we began towards the tail end of 2023, with our friend CashNSport. We’ll be producing all the videos that they’ll be publishing as well as introducing some BOLD attempts at reimagining podcasts/vodcasts and the traditional interview format. Already we’ve seen success in the “State of Broadcast” series we worked together on last year and we’re sure the topics for 2024 will be more informative than ever.
Next up, we’re introducing our own show One-By-One. This show is a podcast where we interview up-and-coming game-changers in the realm of sport. Whether those are administrators, entrepreneurs, content creators or fans that have a voice. We sit down with them to find out more about what they’re about and how they’re looking to change the game. Episodes will be weekly, with the first episode’s publishing date still TBC.

Rounding things off with content that we’re going out with, there’s 22-Questions. Think 50Cent’s love letter to Meagan Goode but for sports fans. In this series, we unpack some of the industry’s most prominent and upcoming names, with short inserts asking questions that fans want the answers to. We will look at topics that mainstream media isn’t too interested in exploring and explore them for the fans. We aren’t going to be a Carte Blanche and mark the end of your weekend. But we do aim to become the home of sports content that asks the correct questions and broadens the knowledge of fans.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty of creative shows, skits and campaigns which 22Ours will be working on as well. Starting with our AFCON Content, created specifically for 22Ours, as an Unofficial (cheekily so) Content Partner to the tournament itself. We will have giveaways, Wallpaper Wednesdays, Fixtures and then some. So stay tuned to our socials, to see what we’ve been cooking in the kitchen.
