227/365 THE POWER WITHIN LIMITS: SPECIFIC, PERSIST, AND RESIST
Rome was not built in a day, the Sistine Chapel was not finished in a year, skies had end layers, oceans have shores, even the Buddha had limits, and Spiderman couldn’t fly. Everything we try to understand shows Limitations. So in our pursuit to understand ourselves, we know our limits.
If I know what I cannot do, I know what I can, for every limitation has two or more alternatives and assets to move forward. Persisting with limitations , therefore, is not working hard until surrender but working smart and determined to know what can be finished with time.
That’s why the great were masters of their craft and an even greater showcase when we see them try to excel in a new endeavor—a master striker working on grappling and vice versa. An athlete becomes an academic and the other way around. Limitations did not make them say no.
Today we know our limits, what can wait for another day, and what can be done by someone else. But with the limits we set, we know what can be done using different approaches. Don't do everything once; and you can do anything with great persistence until it's finished.
