22000 & the new beginning of 2020

By the end of 2019, we have had 22000 women and men attending our various WIN women’s leadership forums and learning events, amazing frameworks for change, which have been in operation for 22 years with 220 participants attending our last meeting.

 One of the respondents told me, that this common 22 stands for Mastery and I choose to believe her. And then, the question becomes, where do you go from Mastery in a year such as 2020?

I begun this year feeling it was ‘a new beginning’ and I know I am not alone. In fact, let us all continue to look at it this way.

 This new dawn promises a ripe start for our coming alive in new ways again and again.

 Like all beginnings, there are days of seemingly impossible obstacles as well as many encounters of hope. There is always inspiration and enthusiasm.

 Let's keep this enthusiasm for the new in approaching even what you have done before. Real quality takes time to create and requests your commitment and patience along the way. Doing not only new tasks but doing them with newness.

 And at the break of this new dawn - ‘the new beginning’ we remind ourselves to choose to lead the way as the Renaissance women and men of our time – a time that requests your presence, integrity and agility.

Bringing all of you in all you do, ready to receive and to discover your own authentic leadership, within organizations and in society.

My experience is that in this age of constant flux, where uncertainty has become the new normal, the world asks for grounded and optimistic leaders. Individuals who inspire quality in others and themselves in delivering sustainable performance. 

With everything going on in the world, there is little time to waste.

In my world, as I can imagine in yours, this means that there are more moments when the Viking Warrior in me has to come up stronger than ever before. I take a stand for what I believe is right, give value to the qualities of the feminine and fight to protect WIN.

I have learned that this doesn’t mean screaming out loud, it can simply be a grounded ‘no thank you‘.

Our care is strong and goes deep.

 And in our creating a new world, care is also self-care and there are equally many moments when pure nurturing and being in sisterhood and community becomes important.

Our global sisterhood and ‘family’ of support are high on the agenda.

Where do we go from Mastery?

Teaching others the WIN way and creating the net of light with we so often talk about, the net of inspired and conscious women leaders across the planet is certainly one of them.

 Of course, done together with all of you as Agents of Possibilities.

Be a leader - a person that makes others understand everything will be all right.

 I leave you with a classic reflection I shared in the WIN community years ago and fitting so well also today.
