  • Healing shapes parenting by influencing a child’s wellbeing, as explored in SEEN The Film, which highlights the impact of parents’ healing on their children’s brain development.
  • Breaking cycles of trauma, the documentary uncovers how childhood coping mechanisms shape parenting and how self-reflection fosters healthier connections.

  • Long-term wellbeing in policymaking – ARACY joined Foundations for Tomorrow at the Federal Parliament reading of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Bill, ensuring decisions prioritise future generations.
  • Key objectives of the Bill include a Federal Wellbeing Framework, long-term planning accountability, an independent Commissioner, and national public engagement.
  • Join the movement – ARACY supports the For Our Future campaign. Sign the petition and advocate for a fairer future.

Building Strong Foundations for Child Wellbeing: ARACY & CRCS Collaboration

  • Collaboration for child wellbeing – ARACY is working with Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) to develop a Wellbeing Framework, using The Nest and The Common Approach to support ECEC services.
  • Training and engagement – Nicole Deen and Barbara Barker led a workshop where professionals explored holistic, child-centred, strengths-based, and collaborative practices to enhance children’s wellbeing.
  • Positive impact – 85% found the training directly relevant, and 92% would recommend it. Participants shared innovative ideas like using storytime to engage children in wellbeing discussions.
