21/22's Reflection : Sky's The Limit.

2021 was a year of Challenges, Lots of Ups & Down. Difficult Mentally from losing a child beginning of the year to receiving another late in the year. Took a short break with Career Changes along the way. New House, New Job & Adapting to a new workplace late in the year. Pretty Much Sums up a Challenging Year Of 2021. Being able to navigate through 2021 counts as one of my key achievement till date.

Got through various hurdles in 2021 & then comes 2022, Adaptations and more Adaptations to different Team Dynamics. Thankfully Work Strategies & Product Work put in place in 2021 started to bear fruits. Meaningful Friendships and Collaborations with Clients. Humbled by their support all year round. Clients whom were willing to give me a chance on my liquidity. Mainly stemming from existing Relationship through my previous career changes. Things does happens for a reason i guess.

Dream Big! Let your Dreams take a Flight and soar High in the Sky.. So as they Say...... Started a small business with my partners. Many Late Meeting Nights at Coffee bean's. Time Sacrifices. Idea curated in March, got it running in June. The Start-up Journey was certainly humbling and it taught us many life lessons. Reaping positives but not without its many ups and downs. All these happened, during the birth of my Newborn.

Cara was born 1st June'22, 6 years apart from my 1st. Minor Complications at birth. Tough little one managed to pull through and has since grown into a little fighter. If anything, she has shown me resiliency and faith to keep going.

Discover the places you can go in life when you let your dreams take flight... Revenge Travel or not but managed to spend my mandatory block leave in Turkey and Dubai travelling with the Family. Personal Growth wise - been more engaged in the Blockchain space, looking for collaborations. Looking forward for final Acceptance into Masters Programme as well. Working hard becomes a habit, a serious kind of Fun. You get the self-satisfaction from pushing yourself to the limit, knowing that all if not some of the effort is going to pay off.

Listing down 3 learnings learnt in 2022 :

  • You can't control everything. Things break down. Disappointment to your end Clients. Things might not progress as much as you would like. But always take heart in that you have done your very best for your Clients.
  • Celebrate Success and recognising efforts. Gratitude goes a long way and to those whom have helped worked and delivered all business objectives, i made sure they are being appreciated. Gratitude goes a long way.
  • Assume Positive intent. Listening and engaging with openness. Assume everyone is trying to do what's best for the current situation grounds me and brings things into perspectives. Learning to work with different personalities and leading with kindness is what i'm still striving to achieve.

Year 2023, Work-wise could be interesting. Main theme is to continue the momentum. Look for pockets of opportunities, new Clients & Scale up. Foreseeing it would still be a Rates Theme for 1st part of the year. With excessive post-covid consumer demand, bloated retail inventories and as the battle against inflation continues to weigh on Growth. Hoping things could finally turn around and with that i foresee Asia being Asia, should offer some Green Shoots for Growth.

To all my Clients, Friends & Connections, thank you all for 2022. Looking forward to 2023..
