The What, When, Where and Why of the Blowing of the Trumpet!
This particular portion could be filled with a massive amount of information, but that is not the purpose of this book. Where I really need to take you is to the transformation of a dead ram’s horn, into the beautiful instrument of a polished, glorious, sanctified, thundering SHOFAR! Yet it is necessary for us to have some enlightenment on the importance and the use of this shofar!
Understand that the trumpet was of extreme important in the Jewish culture, customs, and history. There are many instances of it being used in the old and the New Testament. When you do a search for the word trumpet and horn all told together it is mentioned approximately 200 times.

Here a list of 21 of the reasons, circumstance, and time that I could find for the trumpet when it was used.
#1 For the Sabbath
* Leviticus 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
*Numbers 29:1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
*Psalm 81:3Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
#2 To WARN the People
*Numbers 10:(3-10) 6 When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

#4 To Declare WAR

#5 To Get Gods Attention
*Numbers 10:9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
#6 On days of Gladness, Solemn Days, Beginning of New Month, Over Sacrifices.
*Numbers 10:10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.
