1// Transforming health care through platforms: Platforms are considered to be the In Thing in an era dominated by Data & Internet. Mayo Clinic saw this opportunity a decade ago.I've always been fascinated by how the idea of Platforms has been applied so thoughtfully and rendered live by the Mayo Clinic Platform team.
It began with the thoughtful launch of - (1) Mayo Clinic Care Network Program and then, the recent addition (2) Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate. Kudos to the efforts of John Halamka, M.D., M.S. , Gianrico Farrugia, M.D. and the entire Mayo Clinic team for delivering this feat.
A lot many times, we look forward to deep tech bringing in best practices to deep touch. Mayo seems to do the opposite - help deep tech learn from its deep touch-led DeepTech success.
Here's a link to one of the recently published post from the Mayo Clinic Platform that traverses through the journey till date.

4// Health Is Retail, Healthcare Is Detail: Don’t get me wrong. When we speak about health, we speak about what keeps one healthy over the 364 days of normality & when we speak about healthcare, we are referring to managing that 1 day that needs the support of critical medical team's and the “detail” medical systems .
Now coming back, if we were to work on the 364/365, we need a radically different model that helps us deliver health. I mean, an ecosystem that helps us produce better mind-body-soul outcomes.
And the building blocks to deliver better health outcomes begin with a deeper understanding of why we do what we do (Behavioral Sciences). This is where deep tech & tech play a role. The fact, they work symbiotic with medical systems & processes, and the overall healthcare outcomes for the 365/365 get truly accomplished.
This possibly explains why Walgreens is expanding its capabilities into the 364/365. And precedence for many to follow.

5// Behavior Architecture? Approach to Population Health: Solutions for a wicked problem like Population Health are never easy. Understanding members is crucial to ensure any intervention sees long-term adoption. Our research suggests that a holistic approach that accounts for multiple stakeholders, multiple interconnected problems, and an emphasis on the members’ behavior has a higher chance of long-term success. For this, we need to explore both structural and behavioral factors.
