Then Jesus came to them and said,?
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.?
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,?baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,?
and teaching?them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you?always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
The leadership of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) introduced this community outreach initiative in the year 2021, as part of its mandate to preach the gospel message first from Ghana, then Africa, then to the rest of the world (Acts 1:8). A month is selected, usually March or April, and the first 21 days is dedicated to preaching the message of Christ within the various communities that all local churches may find themselves in.
The various activities within the season is usually decided by the leadership of the local churches. However, the initiative is not only restricted to mass outreach campaigns, as personal interactions with friends, family, work colleagues or fellow course mates in school, etc are also allowed. Social media outreach campaigns are also permitted for persons who are technologically savvy and can use various social media platforms to spread the gospel.

What is a community outreach program?
A community outreach program in this context is presenting the gospel message to a population that lacks it. The essence is to ensure that the world in which the church finds itself in, is also positively affected by the light of the word of God (Psalm 119:105). This is because, once the environment is blessed, the church of God will also be automatically blessed.
What is the gospel?
This refers to the message that is to be shared amongst friends, family, work colleagues or fellow course mates in school. It is rendered in Greek as "euaggelio" and when translated into English means "the good news". The good news for us is that Jesus Christ was sent unto the earth in the likeness of a man (1 Timothy 3:16) to die for our sins (Romans 4:25), that by believing in Him we may saved from the power of sin (Romans 6:6-7), live in His glory while on earth, and have eternal life after death (Mark 10:29-30).
Despite the fact that this period has been set aside for the purpose of reaching the gospel message, we are encouraged to make preaching the good news our lifestyle. Make it your goal to win at least one soul per month or per two months, and I believe that your life will never be the same.
I wish you the best of luck while embarking on this mission and may God richly bless you as you do so.
Shalom.
