21 Days of Prayer: Day Ten - A Prayer for Men and Fathers

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today in full awareness of your strength and power. Today we pray for men and fathers, who have vital roles in business and the home. We acknowledge the calling that you have placed on men to lead with humility, compassion, and vision. We ask that the men and fathers who are leading today, act as great men so to develop great men who grow more great men.

Lord, we pray that these men will not recoil from their calling, but rather step into the gaps of socieity and the home to shape those areas with your wisdom and model that can bring fulfillment to the people that they influence. May their leadership inspire others to lead like them and desire to retell the stores of faith, obedience, and conviction. We ask that you give men and fathers wisdom to lead in these difficult and changing times.

We ask that you support them through helping them to realize the people that you have called them to be and to become. Help them to know their idenity in you and that you created men to take care of and steward the things under their care, work with diligence as they are working unto You, and to love exponentially those that are in their familiy and that you bring across their path.

Father, we lift up the next generation of men and fathers who are emerging in business arena. May they find mentors and examples to help them to grow in their wisdom and knowledge. Help them to rediscover the Bible as the true source of faith and knowledge that can help them lead with significance both in the workplace and in the home. Instill in them the calling to lead and to lead with wisdom and care as a servant and steward leader.

We pray for a spirit of courage to permeate their life so that they are not afraid to step into the issues and problems of today. Help them to become convicted of the issues that we face in this generation and move them to move mountains, create thriving businesses that reflect your Kingdom, teach biblical business principles, and have authority over the dark places in this world.

Lord, we ask that you will guide their steps on their path to victory and success. Help them to overcome any failures, setbacks, and frustrations, and show others how their dependance on you can change their life and this world. Shield them from the attacks on their manhood and help to embrace Godly leadership that follows the example of your Son.

As they continue to grow in their leadership, may they seek Your face daily, drawing strength and wisdom from Your Word. Let their lives be living testimonies of Your grace and power at work, influencing the business world for Your glory.

We commit these men into Your hands, trusting that You who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
