When we believe in Jesus and all that He has done for us, we belong to Jesus.
We read in the Book of Matthew that after His death and resurrection, Jesus said to the eleven disciples on a mountain in Galilee “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18). “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19), “and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
So we can be sure of God’s promise of everlasting life for those who trust and follow His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. As Christians we need to spread the Good News of Jesus and our salvation to those who may not yet follow Him, so they too can come to know Him and be saved from the wrath of God on judgement day.
Thought for today: face your sins, repent, and put them behind you.
Thought for the future: Jesus knows the way to heaven, so follow Him for life. Where will you spend your eternity???
