2025 Updates

As I reflect on 2024 and the changes we have made since The Firm became The Talent Labs with our goal to help businesses unlock their teams ability to recruit, manage and retain talent sustainably.? I want to share some key updates about the strategic direction and priorities shaping the future of The Talent Labs. Since our launch in June 2024, the talent landscape has shifted significantly, and we’ve adapted our strategy to reflect these changes. While the past year brought challenges, it also allowed us to refocus and prepare for what’s ahead. Here’s what’s next:

Team Evolution: Over recent months, you may have seen changes within our team. These shifts reflect our focus on building a structure that supports our long-term goals and ensures we’re well-positioned to deliver value to our members and clients.

Strategic Direction: At our recent team session in York, we outlined our mission to become the leading global membership, training, and consultancy organisation for talent professionals. This means:

  1. Expanding our learning offer significantly through both our membership proposition and our training provision
  2. Continuing to build on our consultancy expertise and service proposition to support more members and clients to deliver excellence for their organisations
  3. Delivering a membership proposition that supports the whole talent lifecycle for all our members, with increased benefits, more strategic support and focused development and networking opportunities.
  4. Strengthening our global presence, starting with our first international event in Amsterdam this February.
  5. Ultimately we will be your Talent Team’s co-pilot helping you navigate the challenges with excellent membership, training and consultancy services developed by talent, for talent!

What’s Coming Up:

  1. Open Courses: More accessible learning opportunities for all on key subjects to support Talent Leaders and Practitioners develop their approaches, and inclusive passes in our new membership benefits
  2. Personalised Learning Journeys and Resources: Skills assessments for talent professionals and leaders to filter learning, resources, events and more to individual preferences and needs
  3. Platform development: Introducing innovative new tools to support knowledge assessment, retention and coaching through our member platform to provide the very best membership experience, and available for businesses to use to enhance their own L&D delivery
  4. International Reach: Extending our expertise to new audiences.

A Personal Note: I can’t deny that as a leader navigating change during these uncertain political and economic times can be challenging, but it’s also an opportunity for growth. Over the past year, I’ve been reminded of the importance of collaboration, clarity, and adaptability. I’m proud of how our team has embraced these changes and am confident and excited with the direction we’re heading.

For those of you who are already members, this week’s communication will provide further details on what’s ahead and thank you for being part of this journey, and I look forward to working together to make 2025 a productive and impactful year.?? If anyone would like to reach out to me to understand more about the above and how we can work with you and your talent team please do get in touch.

I hope I’m not overstepping here, Emma? Mirrington, but while I’m not directly involved with The Talent Labs, I had a personal experience during the recruitment process that left me truly impressed and eager to engage with your company. What you do feels incredibly valuable and impactful. How you do it seems to be evolving in an even better direction than I’ve observed in recent years. Kudos to you and the team for the progress and growth—truly well done! ?????? It would have been an absolute pleasure to be part of your team.

Emma? great update and makes sense. You are totally focused on the right priorities. The current business environment is very tough. A lot of companies are struggling and the tax burden with the rise of employer NI contributions adds an extra burden onto modern business. What you are doing with Talent Labs is superb. And being a leader in these conditions is mega challenging. Decisions are tough. And not everyone will cheer decisions on when it impacts them. I can’t wait to see what the Talent Labs delivers this year. You can’t do any more than what you are doing. Feel proud and congrats.
