2025 starts with a bang!

2024 was an extremely successful year for the team at Frontline Integrity . We took on some strategic investment which helped us to accelerate our software development; refine our internal processes and diversify our consultancy offering. Our customer base has doubled in the past 12 months, and we recognise, and are extremely proud to see, an increasing trust in our independent services as many customers return for follow up scopes. ?

The trend has continued into 2025, and it has been an extremely busy and exciting start to the year. Below is a snapshot of what is happening across the business.

Projects

The first quarter will see the team deliver several extremely interesting projects:

• Detailed fatigue analysis of natural gas transmission infrastructure for possible future re purposing for hydrogen transportation.
• Follow up PIMS (Pipeline Integrity Management System) audit on a subsea network of pipelines to review the progress made by the operator since our last visit.?
• Support to manage location class changes along a gas network.
• Creation a detailed risk model for a gas operator to include the threat of SCC. ?
• Assessment of a lined pipeline system to review credible threats and identify suitable internal inspection options.
• A PIMS audit of an onshore network of pipelines to review current processes and identify any areas for improvement.?
• Detailed corrosion assessments of multiple subsea pipelines to review credible mechanisms, growth rates, mitigation options and future re inspection requirements. ??

Locations

As the projects become more diverse, we are also increasing our global footprint. The most recent additions to our portfolio are Belgium and Morocco.

Software

A few months ago, we rolled out our bespoke, cloud-based software – RapidLink, which helps operators manage both cracks and cost. We have received superb operator feedback along the way and plan to roll out two additional modules to our cloud platform in the second quarter.

Out and about

We ended 2024 with a customer visit in Brazil and begin 2025 with a number of our team performing a PIMS audit in the Middle East. In addition, two of our team will be attending and presenting technical papers at PPIM 2025 in Houston, Texas.

Market Trends ?

We can see that the market is moving. Operators seem to be moving away from running the same tools and performing an 'off the shelf' analysis. There appears to be more of a shift in the direction towards what is ‘credible and active’, alongside an investigation of the possible limitations or uncertainties associated with the standard technologies. This presents a new challenge to ILI vendors as they endeavour to meet customer expectations when the bar is continually being raised. One positive consequence of this is that that ILI vendors are beginning to step up to that challenge with more refined processes, innovation and, on occasions, bespoke deliverables when required.

Growth plans for 2025

We are currently in the process of interviewing a number of candidates for a Technical Lead role and aim to fill this position soon. The 2025 plan includes a few additional engineering roles at various levels, so please continue to follow our Linked in posts for more information on these.

Summary

As we are on course to deliver a record-breaking quarter, it is an exciting time to be at Frontline Integrity and this would not be possible without our tremendous and dedicated team. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2025.
