Naxys Technologies Acquired by Kongsberg Discovery
The Bergen-based company is a world leader in technology for underwater environmental monitoring, specializing in recognizing the sound of oil and gas leaks.?
Naxys Technologies will be part of our business area Kongsberg Discovery , a business that was spun off from our business area Kongsberg Maritime and established as a separate business area within KONGSBERG in 2023. The rationale was to strengthen the company's position and investment in advanced sensor and underwater robotics.
Relocating Maritime Operations to Further Align Portfolio
To further align our portfolio with future customer needs and technological advancements in the maritime industry, the maritime focused business, currently in our business area Kongsberg Digital will be integrated into our business area Kongsberg Maritime as of Q1 2025.
The business to be transferred represented revenues of approx. MNOK 600 in 2023. The transfer involves approximately 500 employees located in 14 countries. These employees will be transferred from Kongsberg Digital to Kongsberg Maritime upon completion of the transaction.

Secures First Export Order for Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Coastal Defence System (CDS) Command and Control Consoles
Kongsberg Defence Australia secured its first export order for Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Coastal Defence System (CDS) command and control consoles, which will create jobs across the company’s site in South Australia and its local supply chain.
This contract will lead to the creation of up to 30 positions within Kongsberg Defence Australia and the supply chain, further bolstering the local workforce.

KSAT – Kongsberg Satellite Services , a global leader in ground station services and satellite communications, has announced that they have been selected by NASA to continued support for the Near Space Network (NSN).
