2025

2025

A YEAR DOOMED TO BE ONE OF TRANSFORMATION AND CHANGE.

As 2024 comes to a close, I am reflecting on a year filled with impactful conversations and collaborative insights. Together, we have explored the pressing need to shift capital away from industries that harm our natural ecosystems and toward regenerative solutions that restore our soil, oceans, and the broader systems that sustain life.

This year, my work has centered on systemic and actionable strategies to accelerate this transition:

  • Redirecting Capital: Advocating for the divestment of funds from environmentally destructive industries while highlighting the tangible economic and ecological benefits of regenerative practices. In June I organised, together with FERI the 1st annual meeting for global Asset Owners on biodiversity with a powerful action plan for the estimated €5 trillion AUM at the Villa Bonn in Frankfurt. At Goals House at COP16 Colombia created a dialogue on the same subject with The Rockefeller Foundation Pollination Barclays and Nature2
  • Regenerative Agriculture: Emphasizing the financial viability and necessity of practices that rebuild soil health, enhance biodiversity, and ensure resilient food systems. So proud to represent two of worlds most promising models at Regenerate Asset Management and Savory Institute / Foundation.
  • Ocean Health: Promoting the blue economy as a vital pathway for sustainable marine practices and economic growth, protecting one of our planet’s most essential resources. Proud to work with ReOcean Fund and Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco to implement solutions.
  • Systemic Thinking: Integrating diverse disciplines such as economics, history, and anthropology into sustainable finance strategies to create robust, long-term solutions. In 2024 I proudly supported Kirsten Dunlop at Climate KIC in its new architecture for systemic transformation of societies.
  • Leadership in Action: Offering clear guidance for organisations to adopt environmentally and socially responsible investment frameworks, highlighted when speaking at an event in January 2024 organised by the COP16Riyadh organisers at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Intentions for 2025: Driving Capital Where It Matters Most

Looking ahead to 2025, I am committed to advancing this mission with a renewed focus on impact:

  1. Advocacy for Change: Strengthening efforts to showcase the risks of extractive industries while emphasizing opportunities in sustainable alternatives.
  2. Catalysing Regeneration: Elevating regenerative agriculture and sustainable ocean practices through data, compelling case studies, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  3. Engaging Leaders: Building alliances with policymakers, investors, and innovators to create actionable pathways for transitioning toward regenerative economies.
  4. Expanding Impact: Using platforms online and offline to amplify these messages, inspire global action, and foster deeper engagement with like-minded leaders.

This work is part of a collective movement—a shared commitment to systemic thinking, decisive action, and a vision for a more equitable and sustainable future. Actively involved with initiatives like: Impact Soiree, Nordic Impact Investing Network , World Economic Forum GAEA initiative, Unreasonable networks. Looking forward to supporting more of my ally and friends work at WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development / Diane Holdorf The Club of Rome / Sandrine Dixson-Declève Impact Europe / Leslie Johnston, M.Sc. and show up whenever I can.

How can we collaborate to accelerate this transition? I welcome your ideas, partnerships, and insights as we work together to achieve meaningful change in 2025.

Here’s to a transformative year ahead—rooted in bold, fealess leadership, resilience, and the pursuit of regeneration.

Let’s build the future we all deserve. Let's build a future which does NOT become the dystopian, linear, dehumanised future we all expect. Time to tap into our ingenuity, our imagination, our ability to create and abundant vision for tomorrow as our material scarcity begins to manifest.

Happy New Year.

As I look out over ocean and beaches that we both lived and loved decades ago without having yet met, I am so grateful to have now crossed paths with you Erik Bruun Bindslev; to be able now to bring our respective vision, determination and a spirit of change-making mischief together. Thank you for your challenge to work harder and deeper for something truly transformative. You are right: bold, fearless leadership, resilience, an abundance of ingenuity and the pursuit of regeneration are the currency we need. Here's to working on that together in 2025! ??
