2024: A year of expansion, execution, and what’s next

2024: A year of expansion, execution, and what’s next

Each year, I take a step back and ask a simple question: Are we where we need to be???

?Not just in terms of growth, but in how we’re executing against the demands of the market, delivering for our customers, and positioning ourselves for the next phase of transformation. The 2024 Flexential Momentum Report lays it all out.?

?This year, AI pushed infrastructure to its limits. The demand for high-density compute, scalable interconnection, and resilient cloud solutions isn’t coming—it’s already here. The demand for AI infrastructure is exploding, and not all data centers are built for it. Ours are.?

?The companies shaping the future—those deploying the most advanced AI and cloud workloads—are realizing that not every provider can keep up. Flexential has spent years engineering a platform that is ready for this moment. Now, we’re scaling at a pace that ensures we stay ahead.?

?Scaling to meet AI and enterprise demand?

If 2023 was the inflection point for AI, 2024 was the year the industry felt the strain. Power density, interconnection, and rapid scalability are no longer theoretical challenges—they are business-critical.?

?Our 2024 State of AI Infrastructure Report made it clear: enterprises are feeling the pressure. More than half of IT leaders cite infrastructure bottlenecks as a major hurdle to AI adoption, and 59% are increasing their IT infrastructure investments to keep up. The need for high-density capacity, flexible interconnection, and seamless scalability has never been more urgent.?

  • We added 30MW of new data center capacity and have another 110MW under development, including our new 22.5MW Denver-Parker facility—our largest in the region—designed to support high-density AI and enterprise workloads. That’s real, strategic expansion—not just hype.?
  • Our next-gen data centers are engineered for 50kW+ per cabinet, because AI workloads demand power and efficiency at an entirely new level.?

  • We continue to enable elasticity through virtualized compute and federation to public cloud resources, giving enterprises seamless access to scalable CPU and GPU-based infrastructure while optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.?

  • We launched Flexential Fabric, giving enterprises the ability to provision interconnection on demand—because high-performance compute is only as effective as the networks supporting it.?

?This is what being AI-ready actually looks like.?

?Financial strength: the foundation for long-term growth?

Expansion for the sake of expansion isn’t a strategy. Every investment we’ve made in 2024 has been deliberate, aligned with where the industry is going.?

  • ?Our strategic investment from Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP), alongside continued foundational capital support from GI Partners, was a defining moment for our business. It accelerates our ability to grow and innovate at scale.?
  • Financially, 2024 was our strongest year to date. Revenue and EBITDA growth allow us to expand with confidence, making long-term infrastructure bets that position us to lead.?

  • 175+ new customers chose Flexential this year, reinforcing that enterprises need infrastructure partners who can scale with them.?

?If you’re not thinking five years ahead in this industry, you’re already behind.?

Sustainability: growth with purpose?

Data center expansion today is about more than just capacity. There’s a growing responsibility to build smarter, more efficient infrastructure. At Flexential, we don’t separate performance from sustainability—they go hand in hand.?

  • ?We’ve designed our newest data centers for liquid cooling readiness, minimizing energy and water usage while supporting the most demanding AI and HPC workloads.?
  • We continue to invest in renewable energy and efficiency initiatives that reduce our environmental impact without compromising performance.?

?Building data centers for the future isn’t just about what we build; it’s about how we build them.?

?Culture: the foundation of our success?

Technology and infrastructure matter—but the strength of a company starts with its people. Culture isn’t just something we talk about at Flexential—it’s something we invest in.?

  • ?Employee engagement has continued to climb year over year, because when people believe in the mission, they deliver at a higher level.?
  • We’ve been named a Top Workplace in multiple markets and Flexential was recognized by Glassdoor as one of the Best Places to Work in 2025, both a reflection of the environment we’ve built and the talent we attract.??

?A company’s ability to innovate starts with its culture. When you build a team that’s engaged, focused, and empowered, execution follows.?

?Our customers: powering what’s next?

If you want to understand why we’ve made the investments we have, look at the customers we support.?

  • AutoNation depends on Flexential for high-density disaster recovery solutions that keep mission-critical operations online.?

?Our customers are thinking about the next decade, not just the next quarter. We make sure their infrastructure is built adapt.??

?Looking ahead to 2025?

Momentum doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through strategy, execution, and a relentless focus on the future.?

  • ?Expanding AI-optimized data centers to handle the next wave of high-performance computing.?
  • Scaling interconnection and cloud solutions to give enterprises the flexibility they need to thrive.?

  • Advancing sustainability initiatives to build a more responsible, efficient, and scalable infrastructure platform.?

?The next phase of AI and enterprise IT isn’t years away. It’s here now.??

?Flexential isn’t following the trend. We’re building the infrastructure that makes it possible.?
