2024 Skinnovation contributing as a ski mountain guide and keynote speaker

Skinnovation—elevator pitches on chair lifts, breathtaking sunsets, and inspiring keynotes—this was my second year immersed in the vibrant spirit of the innovative start-up and networking festival at Axamer Lizum.?

Gratitude goes to Kathrin Treutinger for staging this impactful ski festival, which is proof of her vision and leadership. The energy, the community, and the creativity in forging business relationships keep me coming back.

How did I participate in Skinnovation??

Guiding a group of people?

Together with Matthias Haunholder , I organised the sunrise ski tour. We met at around 7.30 am to climb mountains, earn fantastic views, exchange with like-minded fellows, learn from each other and spend time with what we love the most - skiing/ski touring.?

My true motivation was the excitement of leading a different type of group in a foreign terrain, building connections during the tour, and being responsible for everyone's positive and growth-oriented experience. I love the challenges.?

My takeaways

My biggest takeaway was pushing Dominica Schmid Schmidsfelden to her new ski touring limits and experiencing climbing a steep couloir with experts who all supported her. I am very proud of her achievement, satisfaction at the top of the couloir, and smile. Her mental strength kept her safe throughout the entire process. Congrats to you and our team, who committed to the whole tour.?

Lunch Table?

I was impressed by the high interest in the lunch table I hosted: "Exchange about a resilient mindset from ski guiding to business."?

• Reminders of the lunch table: The entire group's presence also made it easy for me to be present and focused after the ski tour in the morning.?I am glad and very impressed with the profound insights I gained from XYZ, who opened up and provided insights about his story. I am so happy we created such an open space.?

Keynote?

My day was packed with appointments, and the highlight pushed my comfort zone boundaries slightly towards significant growth. I held my keynote about Summiting success: Cultivating a resilient Mindset from ski guiding to business in ski gear after a day out in the mountain guiding. I felt the energy of the mountains surrounded by me and was satisfied by all the great engagement I received from the audience.

I can't find the correct words to describe my emotions, as I performed 100 times better than my previous keynotes. I loved being fully committed to myself, and I am proud of how I presented the keynote.

The audience's commitment, engagement and feedback made me smile and confirmed my thoughts.?

To sum up?

• I will participate in next year's Skinnovation
• I will contribute to the positive impact of sports in general in our life.
• I will push people's success stories and help them to grow as a person mentally and physically - experiencing boundaries to grow is essential all what I have learned from particpants during the ski tour and the interactions during the keynote.

Being an aficionado and able to present my thoughts to a community is still unbelievably honourable to me.?
