Fantastic Futures Conference
Fantastic Futures (FF24), the international conference on AI for Libraries, Archives, and Museums, will be held at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) in Canberra, Australia, from 15 to 18 October 2024. The School of Cybernetics is excited to be part of the conference, where we will feature as keynote speakers and host?satellite event. The?event invites participants from the GLAM sector to rethink the important role of Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums in shaping and steering towards safe, sustainable and responsible futures with and through technology.

The AFRAN Forum is back this year! And it will be in Canberra.

Save the date for the 5th and 6th of November to explore “The role of research and innovation in industry, policy and public dialogue”. This event will bring together Australian and French stakeholders of the education-research-industry-policy ecosystem to discuss current global challenges.
The event will offer keynotes, workshops, an innovation hackathon “mitigating climate change”?to adapt the French flagship event called “24 heures chrono de l’entrepreneuriat” (24 hours for entrepreneurship) to the Australian context and a Women in Science public night, showcasing "La Fabrique des Pandémies" in collaboration with Australian Global Health Alliance ?and the Embassy of France to Australia.

Join our 2-hour online module on AS ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the world's first standard for managing AI responsibly. Co-developed by Standards Australia and the ANU School of Cybernetics, this immersive course tackles ethical considerations, transparency, and continuous learning in AI. Welcome to the School
Since September 2024, Kimberley Coulson is posted at ANU School of Cybernetics as a Secondee for the Australian-French Association for Research and Innovation (AFRAN Inc.).?Her role within the association as the Strategy and Operations Manager is to create avenues for collaboration between the French and the Australian research ecosystems.?
