2024 Reading Log

2024 Reading Log

At the end of 2022, I made a conscious effort to include more reading or “reading” (audiobooks) into my 2023 resolutions and I carried that over to 2024 (and now 2025). The goal remained the same at an achievable at 1 book per month and I wanted to have a mix that would help enrich me both professionally and personally.

Here is my list of books for this year:

  1. Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter
  2. Getting to Yes, Roger Fisher and William Ury
  3. 2-hour Job Search, Steve Dalton
  4. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker
  5. Taxes for Small Business, Owen Solomon
  6. Never Split the Difference, Chris Voss
  7. Profit First, Mike Michalowicz
  8. Surrounded by Idiots, Thomas Erikson
  9. Supercommunicators, Charles Duhigg
  10. Get Different, Mike Michalowicz
  11. Day Trading Attention, Gary Vaynerchuk
  12. The Motive, Patrick Lencioni

Another solid year of great reads that helped give new perspective especially from a small business standpoint. Of the twelve, I think the book I've referenced back to the most this year was Never Split the Difference, while the two that that I have used in a more practical application were Surrounded by Idiots and Day Trading Attention.

For 2025, I think I'm going to re-reread some of the books from the past two years and sprinkle in a few new ones. What are some books that have inspired you or helped you grow? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Rich Dad Poor Dad and Never Split the Difference are classics I read a while ago - I should re-visit.

2025 - the year I (should) start reading more biz books and put down my thrillers LOL.
