In 2024, The Niche, is YOU

The true currency of today's modern age isn't just attention... nah bruh...it is trust. 2024 is the death of the niche, it's all about building an authentic personal brand.

Welcome to a new era!?

Niching down within yourself is truly the best of both worlds.? This phenomenon explains the viral success of many TikTok creators over the past 3-5 years and the emergence of top earners as creators. It plays on human psychology to categorize, and provides structure and clarity to our lives, making our messaging clear, concise, and consistent. The 3 C’s of every creator!

Now, I am emphasizing the 'within yourself' aspect here which is crucial due to the rise in personal brand sub-groups and categories such as the clean girl aesthetic, quiet luxury, mysterious girl, ballet-core, old money aesthetic, and the more recent "mob wife." While many larger creators embraced these niches, some forgot about their personal brand, resulting in scandals and top creators being canceled for speaking out, showing who they truly were, or... revealing their true selves. The failure to prioritize their personal brand from the start turned their page into a resource rather than a community.?

Consequently, if the creator wants to pivot, they find it really hard to because their "community" is so used to what they are saying and not necessarily how they are saying it

This is why niching down within yourself is so important as it focuses on the "how" and not just the "what"

So, who and what is the niche? It’s YOU.

Here's Why:

  1. Niching down creates a multifaceted brand: We are not one-dimensional creatures; everyone has multiple interests. People love various things. The same applies to you. Do not limit yourself.
  2. Being the niche leads to more consistency because your content is based on your interests. If you naturally gravitate towards things that excite you, exploring your interests and who you are ultimately makes you ten times more consistent – crucial for success on social media.
  3. Being the niche helps you foster a deeper connection with your viewers because we get to see who you truly are. Humans are not robots. Creating a more multifaceted brand based on things you are naturally passionate about allows us to see within your psyche, revealing your authentic self. This automatically leads to a deeper connection with your audience, thereby leading to success and monetization.

The internet allows any niche interest to scale as long as you excel at it. And the good news is that because every human is different, everyone is the best at something - being themselves.?

Now, this is how you scale to become the Niche

  • Build and market something that is an extension of who you are. This is where true, unparalleled uniqueness resides. When you create from the core of your being, no one can replicate or compete with that essence.
  • Escape competition through authenticity. If you build and market something that is an extension of who you are, no one can compete with you. Spend time finding and loving the unique traits that are baked into your personality and identity. Hone that and share it with the world.?
  • Your responses to life, your quirks, your passions – these are the elements that will set you apart in a world saturated with content.? It's not about creating a facade or adopting a "mysterious girl aesthetic"; it's about unveiling the authentic you to the world.

I need you to understand that no one can compete with you in being you. This is the power you hold in the palm of your hand. As you build your online presence, your audience becomes drawn to the sincerity and originality you exude. Your authenticity becomes a magnet, pulling in those who appreciate and value the realness you bring to social media.

I know, everyone says "be yourself", but what does that mean? Ask yourself:?

What makes you, you?

What unique perspectives can you offer?

What are things about yourself that you think people may gravitate towards?

What do your friends think your personal brand is?

What do you do??

What are you interested in?

What is your perspective on the world?

Taking time to figure out who you are, your core being, is important in bringing out this authentic side on social media.?

I'll be honest with you; this might not be the fastest way to grow because you'll be talking about multiple things, and, of course, being yourself. It might not always be valuable content, but it's you, and you are valuable. And you set yourself and your brand up from the very beginning for your audience and potential community members to get to know you, rather than just taking from you and treating you like a resource.

You decide, be the Niche, or be a part of the crowd.
