2024 Nashpreneur of the Year – Monchiere’ Holmes-Jones

The Nashville area is constantly exhibiting innovation and growth in business. That's why?the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Monchiere' Holmes-Jones — one of the city’s top entrepreneurs — as the 2024 Nashpreneur of the Year, saluting her creativity, resiliency, risk-taking and leadership.

“As a community trailblazer and homegrown entrepreneur, Monchiere’ has established herself as a leader and pillar for other entrepreneurs and small business owners,” Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce VP of Programs and Event Logistics Veronica Marable Johnson said. “We’re proud to recognize her for her accomplishments and know she will continue to be a servant-leader representing our region around the country.”

Holmes-Jones is highly regarded for her two-plus decades of advertising agency experience. At her firm, MOJO Marketing + PR , she has successfully promoted?brands across numerous major industries, including tourism, automotive, government nonprofits, gaming, healthcare, wireless, higher education (HBCUs), tech, and quick service restaurants.

“Entrepreneurial communities are the lifeblood of innovation and resilience, and the Nashville Area Chamber has consistently been a nurturing ground for entrepreneurs like myself,” Holmes-Jones said. “Being recognized as the Nashpreneur of the Year is not only a great honor but also a reflection of the vibrant, supportive community we've cultivated at MOJO Marketing + PR and within the broader Nashville area.”

In 2014, Holmes-Jones opened her firm, helping brands merge business innovation with creativity and servant leadership. MOJO continues to engage in energetic integrated marketing campaigns and ideating experiential events for several brands across the state and the country, including the Tennessee Titans , National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), Tennessee State Parks , New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, MetroPCS , United States Postal Service , HCA Healthcare and Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical .

Today, Holmes-Jones?is recognized?as a notable community advocate, and as a preservationist for the revitalization of Black-owned business districts around the U.S, while also sitting at the helm for Nashville’s Jefferson Street Historical Society.
