2024 Louvre Abu Dhabi exhibitions
As we just start 2025, I’m inspired by the achievements that made 2024 a landmark year for Louvre Abu Dhabi. During this year, we had the privilege of welcoming over 1.4 million visitors, bringing us to a remarkable total of 6 million visitors since our opening. These numbers reflect the deepening connection between the museum and the diverse communities we serve, as well as its growing role as a global cultural hub connecting audiences through art.
Our exhibitions this year sparked dialogue and inspired creativity. "From Kalila wa Dimna to La Fontaine"?explored the timeless storytelling traditions linking the Middle East and France, while "Cartier: Islamic Inspiration and Modern Design"?highlighted the profound influence of Islamic art on contemporary jewelry.
The fourth edition of "Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here"?embraced the theme of Awakenings, showcasing artistic reflections on openness and beginnings, and "Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances"?brought audiences closer to masterpieces from a transformative era in art history.
These achievements were made possible by the unwavering support of our partners, patrons, and visitors. As we prepare for a new year, I look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming you to another chapter of discovery and creativity under the dome.
