2024 LinkedIn Marketing Strategy for Business

We often hear about LinkedIn profile optimization, but are we optimizing our profiles for the right goal?

This video will detail the FUNDAMENTALS to building a 2024 LinkedIn Marketing Strategy that will help you grow your personal brand and business on LinkedIn:



The Right Goal

Imagine yourself twelve months from now, looking back on a successful journey on LinkedIn.

What is the one thing that would come out of it? There's no right or wrong answer here; it solely depends on your business and where you currently stand.

If you're a coach, your goal might be to attract high-ticket clients. Alternatively, you might have recently launched a group program and want to leverage LinkedIn to launch your first group coaching program or your next cohort.

Perhaps, you're an author aiming to grow an audience of 100,000 followers to support the release of your upcoming book.

Or, maybe you have a paid newsletter and want to maximize your subscriber base for consistent monthly revenue.

Choose ONE LinkedIn goal, not ten.

By hyper-focusing on one specific objective, it will make it easier to ensure your LinkedIn strategy aligns with that goal. Now to be clear, this doesn't mean you won't gain other opportunities such as speaking engagements, collaboration offers, or partnership prospects along the way. It just means that the main strategy is hyperfocused.

The Right People

Understanding who you need to attract to fulfill your goal is paramount. You can get a ton of traffic on LinkedIn, but if they are not the right people for your main goal a few things will happen:

  • You may have a lot of views but not a lot of interest in your one call-to-action
  • The leads you talk to may not close because they are not the ideal buyer for your offer (or the ideal person to attract to achieve your main goal)

For example, the audience you need to attract to acquire high-ticket clients will be different from the audience you need to attract for a course or group coaching program.

The Right Place

Where are you leading your audience to? This is often an area where many people make mistakes. Let's say your main goal is to increase the number of listens on your podcast. Naturally, you should lead people directly to your podcast because that would drive the main goal.

This may seem like a very simple example this is common sense, but you would be surprised how many experts do not align their CTA with their primary objective on LinkedIn.

Remember, the destination you choose should align with your goal and the audience you're attracting. Avoid overwhelming your audience with multiple calls to action; instead, provide a clear and focused direction that drives them towards your primary objective.

The Right Content

Creating compelling content is the key to attracting more people to your profile. While LinkedIn limits the number of connection requests you can send out, there's no limit to the number of people you can reach through engaging content. Content is the leverage point that can significantly enhance your profile's visibility and attract the right individuals.

Conduct an audit of the top influencers in your niche who are already dominating the LinkedIn market. Analyze their posting frequency and content types to identify opportunities for differentiation. If they primarily focus on text-based content, consider leveraging video as your unique medium.

The Right Offer

Passion and authenticity are essential aspects of personal branding on LinkedIn. However, many individuals tend to overlook the "why" behind their chosen path. Communicating why you are passionate about what you do and how it has transformed your life is a compelling element that resonates deeply with your audience.

Share your journey, your origin story, and the personal transformations you've experienced through LinkedIn. Let your audience know why you believe in the power of this platform and its ability to connect with high-quality individuals. Showcase the evidence and impact it has made, not just in your life but in the lives of your clients as well.
