2024 at HALT NFR

2024 has been our biggest year yet at HALT - Natural Fire Retardant Treatment . From new partnerships, events and even a few new faces - let's take a look back at this years highlights.

New Partnerships ??

Throughout 2024 we have expanded our network of partners, collaborating with some of the leading timber distributors and suppliers across the UK and Ireland. Our goal is to make pre-treated fire retardant timber easily accessible throughout the supply chain, making fire safety a priority on all timber projects. Working with these major figures in the construction industry allows us to make this a reality, bringing HALT treated timber to the construction market.

We close out the year with six incredible partnerships, from architectural salvagers to timber solutions specialists, each with a wealth of knowledge and expertise of the timber and construction industries.

The entire HALT team would like to thank each of our partners for their continued support throughout 2024, and we're very much looking forward to what 2025 has in store (spoiler: it's going to be even bigger)

Thomas Ferguson Joins HALT ??

In early 2024, we welcomed Thomas Ferguson to our team as General Manager. Thomas joined with a strong background in project delivery, a great drive with a can do attitude and over 10 years experience in the construction industry. Since coming on board Thomas, and Operations Manager Stephen Mc Cann , have worked closely together to secure exciting partnerships and develop our off the shelf, pre-treated materials. Closing out a successful 2024, we already have big plans in the works for 2025 - watch this space!

Demo Testing ??

We talk a lot about our innovative fire retardant treatment, so we decided it was time to show you exactly how treated timber reacts in the event of a fire. We created two model homes from birch plywood - one treated with a coat of fire retardant lacquer, the other impregnated with Burnblock? . And I think we can all agree, the results speak for themselves.

Project Round Up ???

We don't often get to see where our treated timber ends up once it leaves our facility, but when we do it always looks good. Reclaimed timber is becoming more and more popular, particularly in hospitality venues, and HALT treated reclaimed timber has been used in some of the most anticipated venues this year.

Treated Timber ??

Alongside all the exciting news this year, we were still busy doing what we do best - impregnating timber. We have been busier than ever this year with timber arriving to and leaving our facility every week. Whether it was plywood or salvage timbers, we've treated everything from Accoya to Western Red Cedar.

We would like to thank everyone from our customers to our partners and everyone in between for your continued support throughout 2024 and we can't wait to see what 2025 has in store!
