2024 Enginuity Skills Awards adds three categories to celebrate apprentices’ achievements

The good news is continuing in the first few weeks of 2024, with positive stories coming out of the aerospace and pharmaceutical sectors in recent days. Firstly, 荷商葛蘭素史克藥廠 has announced a significant investment of £200m to upgrade and refurbish its UK manufacturing sites over the next few years. In addition, Airbus announced strong results from 2023, confirming an 11% increase on commercial aircraft delivery against 2022 and an acceleration of modernising aircraft fleets. In other news, this week marks the start of the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Here, Schneider Electric (which will be sending several executives to the event), stress that a greater deployment of existing technologies such as electrification and digitalisation is needed to keep climate change from spiralling out of control.
