2024, Consistency Drives Success

2024, Consistency Drives Success

Here we are again, at the end of another year, time to reflect on the year that was.

In the first half of the year, the Safety Team had the opportunity to complete ICAM Investigation Training.? This was something that the Safety Team had been looking to attain for a while now and we jumped at the opportunity to complete it.? It has proven a valuable tool for the whole team to use for not just safety investigations, but problem solving and root cause analysis in general.

Throughout the year I have had the opportunity to reconnect with International Ford Teams working on our 2024 Durability Fleet, catching up with team members across the IMG Business.? I have enjoyed working with a lot of the same people on these Programs and it has allowed us to build on our strong working relationships making it easier to assist them to develop improved products.

2024 was my first opportunity to be involved with the HR Community Service Day.? This year it was at “The Paddock” in Leopold east of Geelong, run by the Give where you Live Foundation.? The Paddock is a 7-acre Farm providing a unique setting for people of all abilities to explore new experiences and learn new skills, in areas of horticulture, grounds maintenance and cooking.? The HR Team spent the day providing Maintenance to the Grounds, Oiling Timber Structures, upgrading Paths and Garden Edging.? It was a fulfilling experience allowing us to put back into the community.

In the closing weeks of 2024, we had our end of year Catch Up for the HR Team.? At the end of the Meeting, we celebrated each other’s success with the presentation of the annual HR Awards.? I must admit I was very surprised when I was not only nominated but won the Award for Best Team Player. It was great to be recognised for my support for not only the Safety and HR Teams, but also the operational side of the PD Business.

This year I have also continued my engineering work with the FoA Durability Operations Team, continuing to step up in the role, building my skill set.? Towards the end of the year, I took on running two Vehicles simultaneously, in addition to my Safety Team workload.? It has been tough to balance priorities to ensure Engineering milestones and safety objectives are met, but I made it through the year meeting the deliverables, focusing on what matters.

From this hard work, I am pleased to say I will be starting a new role in early 2025 as Durability Technical Trainee.? This will be a wonderful opportunity to work in a full time Engineering Role, something I have been diligently working towards for many years.? I am looking forward to making the most of this amazing opportunity to develop my skill set and knowledge of Engineering Processes.

So, in all another very busy 2024 with some real success in the closing weeks.? I anticipate 2025 being a great year with many accomplishments along the way.? Onwards & upwards!
