2023 Year in Review

2023 Year in Review

It’s been quite a year here at Amicus in Leadership and Learning Solutions.

I've continued to look after our 90 strong teams of Design and Construction team members with a variety of Leadership and Learning Solutions; and also helped a few external clients along the way. Also, if you applied for a job at Amicus, I possibly also looked after you.

Client Work

You might be wondering how this all started and it was 2 things:

  1. During the pandemic I was working 3 days a week as a mum with a pre-schooler and I wanted to build up my hours for various reasons. So, I jumped on an opportunity to additionally consult to an organisation that specialised in IT Services. I did this through Amicus
  2. I also felt the need to do something for our network during the pandemic so extended an open invite a workshop called "Energy …The Hidden Key to Resilience". I called it "Be My Guest". It meant no charges, catches, or surprise pitches. I didn't expect anything from it, but a few attendees engaged me to run it within their organisations. As a legacy piece I still run a Be My Guest each year. It works like this and message me if you'd like me to tag you in to 2024's offering.

And so, I was back doing Client work along with being internal at Amicus. Over the last two decades I have gone between both client work and inhouse solutions (always in L&D). So, being able to merge both worlds has been incredibly fulfilling — one that both gives me energy and that I'm thoroughly enjoying.

So, here's what's happened in Amicus in Leadership and Learning Solutions in 2023:

  • My website page has been updated (Link)
  • I've calculated how many impacts I have made externally:

Number of external Leadership & Learning impacts!!!

  • I've worked on a number of great projects. For example:

  • Participants ranged for 1 (for example a Coaching or 360 Degree Feedback debrief) up to 150 ppl in the one workshop.

Internal Work

What I love about being internal for Leadership and Learning Solutions is being able to observe people's growth journeys, give them as much/as little support as they need; and also be able to see a need and provide a Learning solution in real time.

2023 has seen 12 diverse workshops catering to our 90-strong team. These sessions spanned a wide spectrum, from fostering resilience to enhancing financial acumen and building high-performing teams. Some of the modules this year have included:

So, what will 2024 bring?

I have some hunches on the Learning topics that will trend. So, I'll blog about that in the new year. Also, I've also recently revamped our Leadership Development program internally so will share my process for you to compare if your about to do the same.
