2023: The year in review with CEO Philip Talbot.
Cransley Hospice Trust
"Enhancing end of life care in North Northamptonshire"
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the milestones throughout 2023. It has been a year filled with gratitude, celebration, and a deep sense of community.
One highlight of this year was the 25th anniversary commemoration of the building of Cransley Hospice. Our tribute took the form of a poignant art installation at Chester House in June. 500 crafted clay robins, each one hand-made by local artist Louise Crookenden-Johnson, reminding us of loved ones who have died, and the compassionate care provided at Cransley Hospice and in the community.
We also had the pleasure of announcing that Cransley Hospice will remain at the current site at Pipers Hill Road in Kettering. More information to follow in 2024.
In October, our 'Thank You Event' honoured the remarkable dedication of our volunteers. We celebrated their immense contribution and presented two new awards, the 'Spirit of Cransley Award' and 'Community Achievement Award' with John Smith, and Chairman, Paul Humphrey, acknowledging their outstanding contributions.
The 25th Anniversary celebrations continued at our Silver Ball held at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, where we raised crucial donations for the hospice and reflected on the profound community impact on Cransley Hospice’s 25-year journey.?A great time was had by all.
A standout moment in November, included His Royal Highness, The Duke of Gloucester's visit, honouring the Hospice's anniversary and our promising vision for palliative and end of life care in North Northamptonshire. This commemorative event showcased community support and dedication.
