2023: A Year of Great Leadership

As we reflect on the challenges and triumphs of this year, I want to share my insights, so you can see how past decisions made 2023 the best year for ITMAGINATION .

1. Leadership Excellence: The Heart of ITMAGINATION 's Success

At the core of ITMAGINATION 's success in 2023 is our incredible leadership team.

·??????Sylwia Bil led us to achieve the Great Place to Work Award for the 5th time in a row, assuring every voice is carefully listened to and every concern addressed.

·?????? Marcin D?browski introduced us to many new clients on our mission to accelerate innovation. Especially this year, which we can certainly call the year of AI.

·?????? Micha? Ostrowski and his team strengthen our client relationships, assuring satisfaction and opening new doors – remotely and physically.

·?????? Hisham Itani builds ITMAGINATION ’s brand awareness, testing multiple options and growing visibility efficiently with high precision.

·?????? Under Mateusz G?usiec’s leadership, ITMAGINATION’s finances and back-office operations are the most efficient and safest in its 15-year history!

·?????? Urszula Nowakowska’s attention to details assured the board to make accurate decisions based on data.

·?????? Joanna Kempińska – we hope you will come back soon from your maternity leave – I am sure!

·?????? Also, I would like to thank Monika Skwierczyńska for keeping accounting and finance to highest quality and Mateusz Niewadzi for making sure our office provides great atmosphere and administration is run smoothly.

·?????? Last but not least, Pawe? and Dawid, co-owners and executive board members: I am so happy and proud of you. ITMAGINATION is in its best shape because you trust in people, positive attitude and relentlessness.

The Leadership dedication and talent have shaped the best version of our company, and I am deeply grateful for their effort. This year taught me that leadership is not just about steering the ship, but especially about the crew and the shared journey.

2. Big Bets on Big Tech: Investing Wisely for the Future

In 2023, we continued to reinvest our profits into big tech, focusing on intrinsic value in giants like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google (we actually invested in 6 out of the so called magnificent seven). Our bet on Meta, driven by Mark Zuckerberg's resilience and vision, proved to be a big win. It reaffirmed that money is not the ultimate goal; rather, it's the pursuit of value and impact.

3. Building a Legacy: Sharing Our Lessons with YOU

Starting to share our business story was a crucial decision, fuelled by the desire to share lessons learned. Leaving a legacy means acknowledging imperfections and embracing the value of passing on knowledge. While not everything went perfectly, the lessons are what matter – so sharing them with ambitious people is simply a must.

4. Personal Journey: Striving for Balance and Achieving Goals

Personally, 2023 was a year of exploration and travel. A trip to New York with my girls to show them Home Alone filming locations, taste international cuisine and immerse in different cultures was an expedition to remember.

My visit to Tokyo opened my eyes to different approaches to life as a society. Did you know there are no public bins in the cities? Everyone simply takes their rubbish home. I have also gone through a Samurai makeover and was reminder about the Bushido code (a set of rules to live by), which are relevant to this day.

I participated in the Tour de Pologne in Karpacz – brilliant experience, which gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

Sailing in Mallorca happened as well. There’s nothing better than active pastime at sea. Again, I’m grateful for such great people as Piotr Nikonowicz, and their support during our non-competitive outings.

And, lastly, I returned to running and participated in the first 10k run in January, half-marathon in September and second one in November, and finally, a marathon in Valencia. Big thanks to Bartosz Ferenc for motivating me, it wouldn’t happen without him.

Each of these experiences underscored the importance of balance, perseverance, and staying true to our goals. Preparation and consistent execution of your plan are the true keys to success.

5. Risk of Global War

2023 will be known as a tumultuous year. In a world marked by tensions, the negative game called for a resolution, especially between China and the USA. We must strive for cooperation to avoid global repercussions, emphasizing the need for diplomacy over the shadow of the next global war. I am extremely positive person and deeply believe that anything is possible, so I believe in global peace and further innovation acceleration.

As we prepare for 2024, let's carry forward the lessons of the past year, so that next year is better than ever before. May it be a year of growth, resilience, and impactful leadership for us all.?
