The time of year when we hear of people giving unconditionally and unselfishly has just passed.
Where we see someone going to a Walmart and anonymously paying for layaway purchases....
Individuals buying coffee or breakfast for the next person in line.....
Someone who delivers?sandwiches to?feed the homeless.....
What if, instead of only giving seasonally, each of us decided to live?every day?this way? If rather than thinking about ourselves, we were on the lookout for someone to help or lift up??
It doesn't have to cost money, maybe babysitting for someone in need?or spending time at a Nursing Home visiting those who are lonely.?
What if EVERYONE reading this participated, what impact could be made?
If this seems difficult, start with a friend or acquaintance...our neighbors, church members or social group participants.?Once you?start living a life of giving, you can broaden your circle.
What if EVERYONE impacted by the first wave of change did the same....how far would it go?
I know first-hand, the impact of a small gesture goes a long way and we have a very recent example on a HUGE scale; look at how the world participated in Damar Hamlin's Charity fund raiser - a goal of $2,500 now sits at over $8 million!
I'm excited to see how my small pebble creates ripples and the broader scope of others who choose to make 2023 the year of giving!
