2023: A year of comeback
First of all, thank you so much for joining this community which is trying to make the lives of each one of us better. I hope 2023 has been a decisive year for you; some of us might have achieved tremendous success, some of us might not have achieved as much as we wanted to, and many of us might be feeling that the agenda is yet unfinished. But, the quintessential fact of the situation is that we as a race have successfully come back from the effect of a deadly pandemic that tortured us for 3 years. This time, the survival itself seems to be an evolution!
I am happy that you are reading this newsletter at the moment and that underlines the fact that you are interested in building something in the coming days of life. That is powerful, reasonable, and optimistic. Happy to be your companion! Some words about my companions :)
I keep listening, to the differences between being a first-gen entrepreneur and a second-gen businessman. The whole discussion revolves around the competitive advantage.
The hard fact of the situation is that it's gonna be there.
"So what's the solution" - I ask myself.
Chasing excellence is the solution.
"But how do we do that?"
By reading the thoughts of those who have shaped the world in which we live. Most competitive advantages eventually die. The birth of each entrepreneur, irrespective of the generation, is a testament to this fact.
"So how do we achieve that level of excellence?"

By reading books and implementing them in real life. I have been inspired, supported, and guided by books. In other words, by those brains whom I have never met. But certainly, they have lived similar journeys and hence become the guide.
In the book 'Same as Ever', one of my favourite writers Morgan Housel says
"People often work hard to gain a competitive advantage for the intended purpose of not having to work so hard a some point in the future. hard work is in the pursuit of a goal, and once that goal is met the relaxation that feels so justified removes paranoia. This allows competitors and a changing world to creep in unnoticed"
So the solution is to learn on the go and keep going. For which, there can be no better companion than wisely selected books! Sharing the reading list of 2023!
