Delta to Launch JFK to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires

Delta Air Lines will offer seasonal service from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to both Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, the carrier announced this week.?

Rio de Janeiro daily service will begin on 16 December and will operate with Boeing 767-300 aircraft featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort-Plus and Main Cabin service. Seasonal service between New York-JFK and Buenos Aires is expected to begin on 28 October.

Heathrow Airport Faces Easter Strike Threat?

Passengers flying from London Heathrow airport could face disruption this spring after it was announced that members of the Unite union are to hold a ballot on strike action.??

Unite, which represents 3,000 security guards, engineers and firefighters at the UK hub, said that strike action could take place from early April and include walkouts over the Easter holiday period. The ballot of members will start on 17 February.?

Singapore Removes Final COVID-19 Travel Restrictions?

Singapore has lifted its remaining COVID-19 travel restrictions from Monday, 13 February after the health situation “stabilised” in recent weeks.?

The country’s government said that non-fully vaccinated travellers no longer have to show proof of a negative pre-departure COVID test upon arrival. The requirement to purchase COVID travel insurance has also been removed.?

Manchester to Introduce Tourist Tax

Manchester has announced plans to introduce a tax on people visiting the city for overnight stays. Guests staying overnight will pay an extra ï¿¡1 per room, per night on their accommodation from April 2023, with 74 hotels and short-stay serviced apartments already signed up to the scheme.
