2023 San Marino Concours
Is it a bird, a plane, superman, a? Bricklin, a DeLorean . . .? Nah.? None of the above.
It’s actually one of the 16 Mercedes-Benz 4-rotor C111s produced in 1970. It was on display last Sunday at the San Marino Motor Classic, a prestigious Concours d’ Elegance held annually in Lacy Park in the San Gabriel Valley.? ? https://sanmarinomotorclassic.com/
The entire event is produced by volunteers.? The organization has no paid employers.? Proceeds benefit the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, the Rotary Club of San Marino, and Cancer Support Community Greater San Gabriel Valley.? And over the past 11 years the San Marino Motor Class has raised more than $3.2 million for these charities.
A total of 470 cars were at the park, 187 of which were judged.
Thanks to an invite from Chief Judge, John Milliken, I had the honor of helping judge the hot rod class which was open to “1928-1941 Original Steel Bodies Only.”
I hope you enjoy the eye candy that follows.

1 年Wonderful. And what a noble effort on behalf of so many volunteers. Would be Mercedes be fitted with a Wankel engine? Thanks for showing.
