2023 in Review - Doubling Down on Community, Perspective and Partnership for 2024 and Beyond

Leading with #data to set my own goals for 2024, I think about what was most important to my trusted #network over the past year. With a combined 2 million impressions, these posts from 2023 highlighted the values that you were most interested in: #Community, #Perspective and #Partnership.?Here are the posts and what I took away from each:

  1. BNYM’s Market Leading Position?|?It was an honor to receive Global Custodian’s Custodian of the Year and Deal of the Year awards for our work with Aviva Investors and CEO?Mark Versey.?The teamwork, #innovation and commitment my BNYM colleagues (shoutout to?Caroline Butler and Mark McKeon ) exemplified on that deal are a testament to our continued standing as a pioneer and leader in Securities Services. This award recognized our unique approach to #tech, data and integration and our capabilities that improve operational alpha for our clients.?
  2. Paying it Forward?|?It’s true that “it takes a village” to nurture a person, and not just in your personal life but on your professional journey as well. I was fortunate to have Barry Star as a mentor at the time. By being mentors, coaches and sponsors, or by identifying them in your life, throughout your life, can cultivate a growth culture.
  3. Thought Walk in London?with?Stefan Hoops?| By tapping into community, one can innovate with new tech, new perspectives and new ways of?solving problems.?By reaching out to clients, peers and colleagues across a company, sector or industry, we can continue to push each other and think outside the box. ?
  4. Holocaust Remembrance Day?| We say “Never forget” to learn from the past and avoid repeating its terrible mistakes.?We can and should continue to use our histories, especially during troubling times, to build for the future. We have to embrace our responsibilities as global citizens to make the world a better place. ?
  5. Expect Miracles Foundation — Destination Hope Gala | Believing in a cause and supporting it is critical to moving the world forward.?Corporate citizenship and #collaboration can push all industries further and collectively build a better world (special thanks to?Jane Mancini?for her work on this!). We must continue to ensure our organizations advance critical causes and address long-standing problems.??

Each one of these has greatly helped me expand how I think about the world and operate within it. Reflecting on these posts and my past 12 months, I am committing this year to expanding my community with different perspectives, fixing problems (personal and professional!) with data and focus,?and?supporting causes that will make the world a better place.?

Great teams can do great things, especially when guided by supportive leaders ( thank you!) . Very proud of how we show up for our clients . Excited for what 2024 holds , off to a good start supporting our clients as they seek to bring Bitcoin ETFs to the market

Happy new year my friend! Looking forward to our next walking meeting. Let’s do Hudson or Brooklyn Bridge…
