2023 predictions for cloud

IDC’s research vice president, cloud infrastructure services, Dave McCarthy recently shared the following predictions on cloud.?

By 2025:

• Majority of legacy applications will receive?some?modernisation, with cloud services used by 65% of the applications to extend functionality/improve efficiency
• 60% of organisations will have dedicated cloud services to respond to performance, security, and compliance requirements
• 75% of organisations will employ multi-cloud solutions for data capture, migration, security, and protection. This means they’ll need to re-evaluate and have in place policies around data retention, security and ensuring consistency across multiple clouds.
