2023 PDC MENTOR-MENTEE TEAMS’ PROGRAM

The Mentor-Mentee teams’ program is designed to help new #investigators develop partnerships, skills, and tools to be successful in obtaining external funding to support their careers as independent researchers.?One Mentor-Mentee team will be selected. The team will have a maximum of two years of support, contingent on progress shown through follow-up meetings and written progress reports.

Stage 1

  • Alliance for Clinical and Translational Research (Alliance) or previous PRCTRC Pilot Project Awardees, Alliance?or??PRCTRC previous Pilot Project Non-Awardees, and participants who completed the Art of Grantsmanship Intensive Workshop OR;
  • ≥1 publication in peer-reviewed journals within the last 5 years OR;
  • Has submitted >1 local or national pilot project.

Stage 2

  • Pilot Project Awardees OR;
  • ≥2 first, second, or corresponding author peer-reviewed publications that specifically highlight the candidate’s experience and qualifications in clinical and translational research related to a specific area within the last 5 years OR;
  • Has submitted ≥1 external competitive grant (excluding pilot projects).

PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCESS

To be considered for the Mentor-Mentee teams’ program, the candidate has to:

  • Submit a Letter of Intent by January 9, 2023.
  • Access the?application package
  • Submit the complete package by January 30, 2023, including a Letter of Support from a Mentor or Research Collaborator and the NIH Biographical Sketches.
