Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS)
MANRS is a global initiative, supported by the Global Cyber Alliance, that helps reduce the most common routing threats.
MANRS has established itself as the leading routing security program, recognized by the Internet industry, policymakers, and increasingly enterprises relying on Internet services.?
To sustain its success, the MANRS Steering Committee, in consultation with the MANRS Community, are formulating plans for how the community would like to see MANRS develop, including how it should be governed and funded in the years ahead. MANRS is a community-led initiative, so the input of everyone in the community is welcome.?
If you are a MANRS participant, such as a network operator, IXP, CDN/cloud provider, or vendor, please also?consider becoming an Organizational Member of the Internet Society?to help us continue to secure the global Internet for everyone.

Applications Open for MANRS Mentors and Ambassadors Program
Mentors are well-respected routing security professionals who help guide Ambassadors and advise the community.
Ambassadors are emerging leaders who work to improve their own skills and collaborate to improve routing security in their regions and industries.
Applications will close on 19 April, and the program will run for six months from 1 June until 1 December.

MANRS in the Community
MANRS @ APRICOT 2023 — We held out tenth MANRS Community Meeting during APRICOT 2023 in Manila, Philippines. More than 60 people attended in person to hear the latest about the project and plan for 2023, as well as to ask questions of the team. It was also great to meet with current participants and discuss the merit of joining MANRS with new participants. Learn more and watch a recording.?
MANRS @ FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium — We presented how routing security plays an important role in improving security on the Internet. The hybrid event, held in Rwanda, was attended by over 100 participants. The presentation also covered the 2023 MANRS plans and benefits of the MANRS Observatory, MANRS training, and MANRS mentorship programs to the security-focused CSIRT community globally.
Observatory Highlights?
In case you missed it, we’ve launched an API to make makes the ROA Stats data and AS status and holder name data available for research or to make sense of the state of routing on the Internet. Please share your feedback as we will be adding more datasets over the coming months.
