2023 looks bright with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Market adoption of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud edition surged in 2022, with partners acting as a critical driving force behind the growth. To date this year, over 80% of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud revenue has been generated by the partner ecosystem, and growth is still accelerating into Q4 with a clear net new name focus. And, while S/4 has proven to be critical for businesses this year, it’s going to become even more important in 2023, for a number of reasons.
Firstly, because market research shows that more businesses are looking to the Public Cloud to help achieve their outcomes. And secondly, enhancements made in the latest release will allow us to address areas of the market that we previously couldn’t. Combined, these two factors open up more market opportunities for our partner ecosystem.
In the current landscape, innovation, agility, and speed are critical to customers’ success. Only those that can operate intelligently and react swiftly to changing market conditions will be able to thrive in the existing and on-going volatile economic conditions. S/4HANA Public Cloud edition, together with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), lets partners combine their competencies and domain expertise to create intellectual property (IP), that drives customer outcomes and delivers fast time-to-value. This kind of IP will increasingly help partners to become more competitive.

Excellent planning and preparation is key to making the most of market opportunities. Throughout 2022, we’ve done a lot of analysis on our awareness and demand generation activities. One of the ways we’re going to help partners further increase the percentage of partner source opportunities is to share those data-driven insights, and our up-to-date best practice recommendations. We’ll also have more demand generation activities, and these will be more focused and even more aligned with S/4HANA Public Cloud opportunities.
We have ambitious plans for S/4HANA Public Cloud in 2023, and we can only achieve them with our partners. The incredible volume of partner-generated revenue this year is testament to partners’ determination and skill. I look forward to continuing to grow and accelerate towards the future together.
