2023: A Look Ahead

2023: A Look Ahead

2023 is shaping up to be a critical year for industry and business.

The 3 biggest economies - US, EU, China - are slowing down simultaneously, with the IMF predicting a third of the world will go into recession this year.

What does this all mean for companies that still need to win more business, hit targets, and GROW?

Below is a snapshot of what I’m reading, seeing, and hearing our clients talk about:

? Government is (still) good!

Similar to what we saw during the pandemic, many businesses are doubling down on government as a safe and secure sector. Whilst a lot of work is required to win public contracts, government are a sure bet in times of boom and bust as they will continue to invest to improve services and stimulate the economy.?

? F2F is back baby!

Whilst many countries returned to courting customers in-person in 2022, 2023 is the first year in many years where (nearly) everywhere is open and back to “normal”. With many still working from home, expect to see events as a critical touchpoint for colleagues to come together and meet up in person, driving attendee numbers up and creating an increased demand for quality programming and content.

? Digital isn’t dead!

Contrary to popular belief, businesses aren’t throwing out the baby with the bath water and will continue to invest in digital content and channels. Content that talks to specific customers (underpinned by research, and polling) and can be leveraged online (written, audio or visual) is still one of the quickest and cheapest ways to build brand - and trust - with existing and new clients.?

? Build Communities?

Most organizations realize there is only so much value that can be had from static lists and databases, and that if we really want to engage your customers - I mean REALLY engage - then the best way is to borrow or build an active community. User groups provide a brilliant way to give and get feedback, and invest in long-term customer success.

? Work with trusted suppliers?

When every cent counts, businesses start looking more closely at whom they partner with, and the actual return on investment from their activity and spending. This actually benefits organizations that deliver for their customers and means that - ultimately - the best products win out.?

“Price is what you pay, value is what you get” Warren Buffet

If any of the above resonates with you, and you are looking to start/continue growing your government business then please feel free to get in touch and learn how Public Sector Network can help in each of these areas.?
