In 2023, Lets Bury Bad Culture and Ego. Not Our Co-Workers!!!

I am an old Man. As Such I have no Filter and Express Myself more than I should. Thats the Fun of Being Old. I am Quickly Arriving at the End of My Career. My Knees and Back are telling Me I cant do this Gear Jamming Life for Much longer. And that is fine with Me. The lord has Blessed Me with a Career and Safety Record fitting for the Hall of fame.

So as a Old Fella shuffling out, Let Me Pass along what I see as the Biggest Problems We Face In Our Industry. A Sub-Culture Void of Empathy. Empathy for Your Customers ,Clients and Co-Workers. Its the Best Intelligence Metric I have Ever found .I have never seen a Successful Supervisor void of Empathy. Our Profit , Image, Employee Retention , and Our Safety Metrics all peg the needle with Empathy.

Profit vs, Safety? Perhaps the Dumbest Hypothesis to be Injected into a Business Model. Yet it still Survives and Thrives .You can do a Wonderful Job at Estimating Projects these new fancy Days. Variable and Fixed cost can be Figured in at Astonishing Accuracy. Safety has no Metric to be Plugged in. You cant find that Metric till after an Accident. A Dead Employee, A Destroyed Piece of Equipment and Production coming to a Stop? The Greatest Bean Counter alive cant bake that into an Estimate. These Terrible Traits of Sub-Culture needs to Die in 2023!!! My New Years wish for 2023 is to Bury this Sub-Culture before We have to Bury Another Co-Worker, Which is a Family Member and Loved and Needed Human Being , Who is Needed by Someone at Home.
