Some of the biggest and best 4th of July fireworks and celebrations are back for 2023! There are many fireworks shows, celebrations, and parades taking place across the Triangle, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, and more.

APEX?
Apex is celebrating the 4th of July over two days! Fireworks and fun will take place at Hunter Street Park on Monday, July 3rd, and then on Tuesday, July 4th, join in the Olde Fashioned Fourth of July. The celebration will feature a parade of wheels, music, food trucks, and bounce houses.
Kick off the Holiday with Fireworks on July 3rd. Food trucks and fun start at 5 pm, and fireworks are to launch at 9:30 pm.
The annual Olde Fashioned Fourth of July will be held in Downtown Apex on July 4th, starting at 9 am. This long-standing event features family-friendly games, inflatables, and the Parade of Wheels and ends with a splash down from the Apex Fire Department.

CARRBORO
The annual Fourth of July celebration is returning this year to the Carrboro Town Commons on July 4th. Live music begins at 11 am and will include the annual community reading of Frederick Douglass’ essay “The Meaning of the Fourth of July for the Negro”.
CARY
Cary is hosting an Independence Day Celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre on July 4th. Patriotic performances from the Cary Town Band and NC Symphony will be followed by a fireworks finale over Symphony Lake. The gates will open at 3:30 pm, and General Admission Seating is Free to the public. Table purchases are available through Koka Booth Amphitheatre.?https://www.boothamphitheatre.com/
CHAPEL HILL
At Southern Community Park in Chapel Hill, there will be a fireworks display beginning around 9 pm on July 4th. Parking and fields will open at 7 pm.
CLAYTON
The town of Clayton is celebrating Independence Day at Clayton High School on July 1st. Starting at 6 pm, the High School campus will be filled with games, activities, food, and DJ music. Fireworks will launch at dark.
DURHAM
On July 4th, there will be the annual Fireworks after the Durham Bulls game.?Get your tickets here.?Gates will open for general admission at the end of the 7th inning based on availability for those that would like to view the fireworks from inside the ballpark.
The Children’s Independence Day Parade will be held on July 4th at Durham Central Park. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, or scooters with items from the Scrap Exchange. The park will be set up for families to meet and decorate at 9:30 am, and the parade will begin at 10:30 am.
The annual Festival for the Eno at West Point is returning Saturday, July 1st, and Tuesday, July 4th, from 10 am to 6 pm. Bring the family out for musical performances from over 60 artists on 4 stages. Complete schedule here:?https://enofest.org/festival/music/
FUQUAY VARINA
Fuquay-Varina is holding its Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1st, at South Park. Gates will open at 6 pm, and a concert featuring Spare Change will begin at 6:30 pm. Food Trucks will be onsite, and the splash pad will be open from 6 pm – 8:30 pm. Fireworks will begin at sundown, around 9:15 pm.

GARNER

The Garner Independence Day Celebration will take place on Monday, July 3rd, at Lake Benson Park. Gates open at 5 pm, and parking is on-site and is first come, first serve, or take the free shuttle from South Garner High School. Activities include a Kids Zone with games and crafts, a performance by CJ Baker Band at 5:15, and the NC Symphony at 8:30 pm. Fireworks will follow the symphony performance.
HOLLY SPRINGS
The town of Holly Springs will hold the annual “A Second Day for the USA!” Celebration on July 5th starting at 6 pm at Jefferson L. Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park. There will be live entertainment, food, and fireworks.
KNIGHTDALE
Celebrate at the Fourth on First Celebration on Tuesday, July 4th, at Knightdale Station Park starting at 4 pm. Drop by for live music, food trucks, and inflatables. See the link for firework viewing areas and shuttling parking options.
MEBANE
Bring your family out to Mebane’s 4th of July Independence Day Celebration on July 4th at the Mebane Arts and Community Center. Festivities are to begin at 5:30 pm with live music at 6:30 pm by Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot. Fireworks start around 9:30 pm.
MORRISVILLE
The Town of Morrisville is celebrating Independence Day on Monday, July 3, 2023, with a Family Fun Festival on Town Hall Drive. The festival will take place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will include live entertainment, food trucks, roving entertainment, face painters, family-friendly games, prize giveaways, and more. A fireworks show will conclude the evening.
RALEIGH
Raleigh’s fireworks will return to Dix Park in 2023. Pack a picnic and head to Dix Park on July 4th to enjoy the DJ and field games before the fireworks begin. Gates open, and shuttles begin at 4:30 pm. Parking shuttles are available from NCSU Centennial Campus and Moore Square from 4:30 pm to 10 pm.

This July 4th, join Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center for an evening full of festivities and fun. The Star-Spangled block party is back from 8 pm to 9 pm with DJ Mark McNally in the clock tower area. Find your spot for one of the area’s largest fireworks shows that beings after dark. The fireworks soundtrack with be broadcast on Kix 102.9.
WAKE FOREST
Wake Forest is celebrating its 50th year of Fourth of July activities:
A Fireworks Spectacular on July 3rd at Heritage High School. Gates will open at 5:30 pm, The Band of Oz will take the stage at 6:15 pm, and the fireworks show begins at approximately 9:30 pm.
The Children’s Parade will take place on July 4th. Line-up begins at 10 am at the intersection of N. Main St and West Juniper Ave. The parade will begin at 10:30 am.
Art in the Park will be from 11 am to 1 pm on July 4th at the Wake Forest Community House.
