2023 Highlights & 2024 Outlook

As 2023 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to look at its highlights and what’s in store for ‘24.?

The Regional Connector arrived this year, bringing faster, more convenient transit for Angelenos to and through DTLA. Work began on the much-anticipated renovation of Pershing Square, promising Downtowners the world-class public park they deserve. There were more new restaurants than we can count, along with some beautiful new residential buildings, and hip hotels. Looking ahead, we’re excited about the groundbreaking for the Colburn School’s new music hall and dance facilities, designed by Frank Gehry. The LAX Metro Transit Center Station – providing rail access from Downtown to the airport – is expected to open, and the 7th Street?Streetscape Improvement project will greatly enhance the experience of one of Downtown's most vital corridors. There will be more high-rise residents, more university students, and an expanded hospital to serve the community.?Read on for more!
