Boom! | Supply Chain 50 50 Next Generation Talent Survey 2023 by Kinaxis

"The so-called supply chain “talent crisis” remains an evergreen issue. Recent insights from Gartner reveal that the inability to access talent has interrupted or curtailed business activities for over half of supply chain organisations in the last year. Conversations with our own network of senior supply chain leaders echo this situation. If we are ever to remove this from the annual list of concerns for supply chain leaders, what better place to focus than at the very beginning of the talent pipeline? Insights | How manufacturers can adapt for success amid rising geopolitical uncertainty by EY

"Inflation, recession, war, climate change, trade disputes, pandemics, energy access, industrial espionage, cyber attacks — for company leaders, the list of threats driven directly by or intersecting with geopolitics is getting longer by the day. This is especially true for industrial firms, which are uniquely complex and exposed to geopolitical disruptions. Many have made large, long-term investments in operating footprints that produce high-value goods in a range of countries. They also depend on inputs from sprawling supply chains; provide maintenance or other post-sale services globally to customers and consumers; and increasingly collect, transmit and analyze data from product usage internationally. Others who are less directly affected still face significant exposure by participating in the same value chains, whether as suppliers or ecosystem partners. Regardless of their scale or value chain position, industrial companies are realizing that the unprecedented, wide-ranging impact of geopolitics is not easing anytime soon. As a result, manufacturers must proactively consider a range of future states and implement new levels of agility in their strategies and operations..."
