In 2023, the 10-year-old still has a better grasp than ChatGPT

As a busy mother of three, I have quickly learned the value of ChatGPT.
In April, my daughter turned 10 and for her party, she wanted a score walk. Of course, I turned to my smart friend ChatGPT for help.
My prompt was:
"Create a score walk with 10 medium-difficulty questions tailored to 10-year-olds, on the theme of Barbie, Dolly Style (a Swedish pop group), and animals. Two answer choices should be wrong, and one should be the correct answer."
In just a few seconds, ChatGPT came up with a score walk, and after a quick read-through, I have to say I was impressed. It could work!
Quickly, I copied the questions and answer choices into Word, along with some nice images I found on Google (as a marketer, I know you shouldn't steal images from Google, something I totally ignored for this task).
For the party, I created a path around the block and set up my 10 questions. The girls were excited to compete and eagerly set off in small groups with their answer sheets.
Of course, I had tailored the questions to their interests, which were animals, Dolly Style, and Barbie.
Confusion at the party
When the first group returned, there was some confusion.
"I couldn't answer question 3 because none of the answers were right," one of the girls declared.
"Dolly Style hasn't made a song in Swedish, so none of the choices are a Dolly Style song," she continued.
"Yes, there is," I replied. "We'll play the song on Spotify later."
"No, none of them are right!"
"Yes, they are. I (read ChatGPT) know," I said confidently, and collected all the answer sheets.
I took out my phone and searched for the song that ChatGPT had given me as the correct answer. Hmm, no results.
I searched for the other songs. Was any of them even by Dolly Style? No, they weren't.
Of course, the girl received a gold star for being smarter than the score walk maker (ChatGPT). She felt like a winner, and I felt like a loser.
What did I learn?
A L W A Y S ?Q U A L I T Y C H E C K!
Don't let the feeling of "quick and easy" make you ignore that little extra step that is so important. In private life or at work.
I will use ChatGPT for the next party, but I will plan better, and I will double-check what my very smart friend is telling me.?

1 年Love that quote. Follow your gut and dare to try new things. Resonates with me, In regards to chatGPT I truly agree with you that we need to learn, be curious and maybe even more important become aware of what’s happening around us. The speed of change is greater than ever. Exciting and a bit scary at the same time. But let’s make sure to raise our gaze and do it together.
