2022: A year of connection

As we head into the holidays, I want to take a moment to reflect on this past year. For myself, and I think for many of us, ‘connection’ was a common theme in 2022.

As the world began to open up, I focused on strengthening and building relationships through face-to-face interaction. I visited CAE locations around the world, meeting many employees in-person for the first time since the pandemic. Each trip consisted of insightful updates from our local leadership teams, productive discussions with current and future customers and partners, and the opportunity to listen and share stories with employees.

Together, we continued to find new ways to connect through the power of technology.

In April, our Global Communications team kicked off a year of 75th anniversary celebrations with an engaging virtual event for employees across the globe.

In July, CAE launched a new visual brand identity, connecting our heritage, our evolution, and our bold vision for the future. We made great strides in areas of Diversity and Inclusion and ESG, connecting with our planet and each other. And we continued to forge strong connections across all areas of our business – Civil Aviation, Defense & Security, and Healthcare – collaborating to make sure we are everywhere our customers need us to be.

I am proud of all that our people have accomplished in this past year with their hard work and determination, working for the moments that truly matter. With our 13,000+ employees located in more than 40 countries, all striving towards our noble mission of making the world a safer place - there is so much to celebrate.

And of course, I want to thank our customers and partners for continuing to choose CAE.

I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in 2023.
