October - Top 100 Leaders in Sustainability 2022
领英推荐
In October we also released our 'Top 100 Leaders in Sustainability 2022 " . The Top 100- featured in this edition are the tip of the iceberg, each of them has a remarkable tale to tell about how they've innovated, disrupted, and delivered in the sustainability sector worldwide.
When assembling our list we used editorial standards, purpose-built algorithms, adjustments for current affairs, and analyses of a variety of factors, including the companies Sustainability, Net Zero or ESG Strategy, to make sure they adhered to the standards set for our lists and delivered the final order.
We made an effort to use a methodology that was as fair and unbiased as possible in order to include a wide variety of stories from various industries. However, some inclusions in the list will be debated, and the order could be endlessly debated. Some of them will represent major international organisations, while others will represent smaller disruptors who are bringing new ideas to the table.
So who made the number one spot?
#1 Kate Brandt , Chief Sustainability Officer at?Google
Kate is at the forefront of the sustainability movement. Specialising in business operations and products, she has revolutionised Google's processes to be more in line with new, environmentally-friendly regulations.
Not only does she lead sustainability at Google, one of the world’s most influential companies, but Brandt has also made history at the government level. In 2014, President Barack Obama appointed Kate to serve as the Federal Environmental Executive, making Google’s CSO the first Federal Chief Sustainability Officer. In this capacity, she was responsible for promoting sustainability across Federal Government operations including 360,000 buildings, 650,000 vehicles, and US$445bn annually in purchased goods and services.
